Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday, 4th January of a third national lockdown commencing with immediate effect, we are currently awaiting formal clarification from England Hockey on exactly what the permitted activities are, if any. We shall provide further updates as information becomes available.

In the meantime, the interim guidance from England Hockey is that all hockey activity must cease and facilities must close for the foreseeable future. This includes junior activity, playing within your household/support bubble and the 1:1 sessions previously permitted under Tier 4 restrictions. Both Chelmer Park pitches and our buildings are currently closed to all.

The impact on the various leagues and EH knockout competitions is not yet fully understood but will be communicated in due course. Further information may be available on the relevant league and EH web sites.
