There was a strong Chelmsford presence at the Grand Masters World Cup held at the Polo Club, Barcelona from 20th to 30th June, with club members representing three different nations.
Tim Smith and Bill Deayton won GOLD with the England Over-65s. Tim also captained the side and finished as the tournament’s top goal scorer.
Welsh wizard, Ralph Thomas, earned a BRONZE in the same competition while goalkeeper, Crawford McKee, and his Irish team-mates finished just outside the medals.
Ken Wooding represented the England LX squad and former club Veterans’ captain, David Woods, played for the Ireland Over-60s TT squad who finished in a creditable 5th place.
Hockey is alive and well for all over 60s!
