“Chasing tomorrow’s horizons, with yesterday’s legs”
Gerald was an outstanding sportsman and a true gentleman. He lived a long, healthy and adventurous life and was admired by all around him for his gentle yet firm dedication. Gerald passed away peacefully following a yearlong battle with Leukaemia and Motor Neurone Disease during which he showed incredible will power, stoicism and never lost his sense of humour or charm.
A funeral service will be held at:
Chelmsford Crematorium at 3:30pm on Tuesday 9thMay.
In keeping with Gerald’s sporting tradition, guests are encouraged to wear hockey paraphernalia such as ties, blazers or badges.
The funeral service will be followed directly afterwards by a celebration of Gerald’s wonderful life at Chelmsford Hockey Club, Chelmer Park, Beehive Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 8RL.
