After facing the top teams in the league, Chelmsford were ready for another battle against St Albans. Knowing it is always a feisty match, with both teams gunning for those 3 points, both teams showed up ready to go.
St Albans started the game off with intense pressure and Chelmsford were on the back foot, a little taken a back and not quite up to match pace. After gaining composure back, Chelmsford began to find one another and string passes together and looked like they had turned up.
However, St Albans were continuing their pacey start, and a well worked goal took them into the lead.
Chelmsford were not defeated yet and continued to fight back, determined this was not going to be another loss. Both sides had a few opportunities, but some great defensive work from CHC kept them in the game and Hannah de Selincourt took her first goal for Chelmsford making the score 1-1.
The game continued with both sides continuing to pressurise both D’s… but neither side could quite find the back of the net.
A well-fought game by both sides and Chelmsford are looking forward to their next game where they welcome Southgate to Chelmsford.
Chelmsford: 1
