NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE HAS REQUESTED A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE CHELMSFORD HOCKEY CLUB TO BE HELD IN THE CLUB MEETING ROOM AT CHELMER PARK, AT 4:00 PM ON SATURDAY 3RD MAY, 2025.  

The meeting is being called under section 5.c.ii of the Club constitution and the purpose is to seek a permanent amendment to Section 5.a of the constitution, with regards to the timing of the Annual General Meeting:

Original: “The Annual general Meeting of the Club shall be held in the month of June each year.”

Proposed new wording: “The Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held in the month of June or July each year.”

As per section 6. of the Club constitution: At any General Meeting of the Club, those entitled to vote shall be the President, playing and associate Members of the Club over the age of 16 and representatives of the Youth Section Committee (not exceeding 8 in number) provided always that no person shall be entitled to more than one vote on any one issue.
