Just as we have come to terms with the recently announced move to Tier 3, today’s announcement by the Prime Minister means that, with effect from midnight tonight, Saturday, 19th December, and for at least the next two weeks, Chelmsford will be in COVID-19 Tier 4.

While Tier 4 restrictions are extensive, and well documented elsewhere, the main impact on hockey at Chelmsford HC is that all activity must cease and our facilities are closed until further notice.

We shall provide further updates when the situation changes but, in the meantime, please continue to follow government advice to keep everybody as safe as possible.

It’s going to be very different this year for all of us, but we wish all members, friends and family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
