For attention of Junior parents and players in U13s, U14s, U15s and U16/17s age groups

Many of you will know about the County hockey system and the England Hockey Player Pathway. Those that were involved last year should have received an invite for the Academy assessment days already. However, new U13s may not have and so more details can be found via the link below.

Please note that Essex operates on a calendar year date (and not school years) and does it by single year age group. Please also note that the dates are only a couple of weeks away!

As a club we encourage players to try out for Essex and if you are invited to the Academy you will be involved in a programme of training and matches and the best players will have the opportunity to be selected to be assessed for one of the regional Performance Centres run by England Hockey. The standard is fairly high so I wouldn’t recommend those new to the sport attend the assessment centres but if you’re unsure please feel free to ask me.
