Well done to these boys for today’s hockey …
- Malachi Knowles – learned a great deal, played really well and was massively brave … the duelling scars I have don’t show !
- Jamie Marland – played exceptionally well in goal.
- Sami Marouane – stalwart of defence, oh, and played well, too
- Jamie Morley – played really well, learned loads even though he had a sprained wrist
- Anthony Speakman – great interplay and worked the ball well around the left side of the pitch
- Tom Steingold – great skills and passing in the midfield – sooo close to scoring … aim and push hard
- Tyler Tombs – stalwart in defence (oh, have I said that already ?), outstanding team work !
- Liam Walsh – excellent right sided playing and passing
- Ben Wheadon – goal scoring – twice – harrying back to help the defence, etc., good skills.
On the basis of the above, you might have guessed that they did well, so here are the details …
- Game 1. Old Loughts “We only lost by 2 goals !!!” Lost 2-0
- Game 2. Saffron Walden Won 1-0
- Game 3. Bishops Stortford Won 1-0
- Game 4. Blue Hornets Drew 0-0
- Game 5. Crostyx Drew 0-0
So, there you go. They did really well.
I am a very proud Manager / Coach / thingy / whatsit and Dad … seems the no food and now for a G&T diet just got in the way ! Thanks to Andy, although not there, his influence managed to be projected … his inspirational coaching has delivered the results.
