The 5th XI came away from their visit to Witham with a disappointing 2-1 defeat.

In a closely fought contest against the team lying second in the league we came across a goalkeeper in excellent form. Not only did we hit the post and see a penalty stroke go past the post we found a keeper making a series of great saves.

0-0 at half-time we came back from 1-0 down via a goal from Alan Boddy.

Witham then converted a penalty corner to win the game with 5 minutes remaining. A result that did not reflect our dominance throughout the game.
