The spoils were share when the Men’s 5th XI travelled to Saffron Walden.

By half-time Chelmsford had 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Ben Middleton, who kept up his recent good form with a brace, and David Farmer adding the third.

The second half saw an invigorated Saffron Walden team who attacked from the start. Goals soon came as their fluent play cut through the Chelmsford defence. At 3-2 there was all to play for. The Chelmsford defence was breached in the final 2 minutes and the home side drew level at 3-3.
