The 5th XI got back to winning ways with a well deserved 4-1 victory at Old Southendians.

Playing good flowing team hockey. Chelmsford took an early lead with a goal from Dan Bacon who ,10 minutes later, doubled his account with a fine reverse stick strike to make it 2-0. The home side came back strongly and reduced the lead to 2-1 just before half-time.

Cameron Clarke extended the lead after the restart following a fine run. Mark Clark was forced to make several important saves as the old boys pressed the Chelmsford defence. Dan Bacon then completed his hat trick to seal the win.
