Scot Reilley returned to goal scoring form with a fine hat trick to help secure a well- deserved 3-0 win for the 5th XI against Old Southendians 4th XI.

The 5’s produced an excellent team performance built on solid defense and a hard working midfield. Chances came from early in the game but the Old Boys’ keeper made several important interventions to keep Chelmsford at bay. Eventually the pressure paid off and Reilley opened the scoring.

1-0 at halftime did not reflect the Chelmsford dominance. Following the break it was soon 2-0 and then Scot sealed the victory with a fine individual effort.
