Chelmsford Ladies 3rd XI vs Wapping

Result: Loss 0-3

Turning up to play Wapping 4, with lots of new faces on the team, the ladies 3s knew they’d enjoy a good game. With a quick start from Sally, we had won a short corner within the first minute of the game.

Wapping defended it well and began their quick attack. Despite some excellent defending from the whole team, and some great use of the wings, Wapping scored from a short corner making it 0-1.

The passing was sharp throughout and our press remained strong, meaning the possession was fairly equal in much of the match.

Some coaching from Paul at half time lifted spirits, but as Chelmsford tired, Wapping scored a further 2 goals in the second half thanks to some effective passing around us. However, many of their attacks were stopped by some excellent saves from our goalkeeper Amy. The mid fields and defenders managed to connect passes well, making Wapping have to really fight for their goals.

Despite a 3-0 loss, there was, as always, no shortage of effort or team spirit! Player of the match was given to Lily for her consistently solid defending work.
