On a freezing Saturday afternoon, the Ladies 6’s after a couple of draws returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Waltham Forest.

Chelmsford started on the front foot with Francesca, Isabelle, Sue and Sophie all having chances within the space of 5 minutes with some good keeping and last ditch defending keeping the score at 0-0.

Shortly after this, the ball was fed into Sue, who produced a good save out of the goalie, with Sophie dispatching the rebound from a tight angle. 1-0.

Chelmsford doubled the score soon after, with Sue converting a short into the bottom left corner.

Half time 2-0 with Chelmsford dominating and creating a number of chances.

The second half was bit more even with Waltham Forest creating a couple of chances, once again Sue Miller producing some excellent saves.

Sue Rhodes made it 3-0 from a scramble in the D.

Sophie then scored a wonderful solo goal, ball was fed into her just past the half way line, she turned and went past the last defender, running through on goal with just the goalie to beat. She entered the D then dispatched an unstoppable shot into the opposite corner of the goal. What a goal to end the match!

A great performance from the whole team with everyone playing their part, now onto Old Southendians on Saturday.
